Into the Woods – Camouflage

A densely textured expanse fills this canvas, layered with countless marks that echo the shifting patterns of the foilage’s camouflage. Every mark hints at an earlier scene buried beneath, evidence of the many compositions I painted over and over and then transformed through time. What remains is a vast, immersive field of marks – an environment you can almost disappear into. The painting reached its final form when the surface felt fully alive, utterly saturated, as though the canvas itself could hold no more.
