Colony of Mopheads

Emerging from the undergrowth like figures in an abandoned colony, these aloe plants wear their mopheads of dried memory draped along their trunks. Their heavy leaves store water, then surrender slowly to time,  curling, crisping, and swaying elegantly in the wind.
