You’re warmly invited to the opening of VIRIDESCENT / Becoming Green – a solo exhibition of oil paintings by Karin Hopkinson, celebrating the quiet majesty of Cape Town’s trees and plant life.

Rooted in the colours and rhythms of the southern suburbs, these paintings honour the trees that line our streets, fill our gardens, and shape our daily lives – from the towering forest giants to the vibrant Strelitzias that herald the arrival of spring. With bold, intentional use of colour and form, Karin invites us to slow down, look closer, and reconnect with the beauty that so often goes unnoticed. This is a celebration of nature’s presence – grounded, evolving, and ever-inspiring.
