The lookout point over Bruce’s Beauties is lined with Aloe Ferox which is so typical of this piece of coastline. It overlooks a great surfspot which starts around the corner at Seal Point and the beachbreak, to the world-famous righthand reelers at Supertubes, J-Bay, just 30 minutes away. Bruce’s Beauties was named after American surf film producer Bruce Brown, who came upon the spot in 1963 while looking for surfspots to film The Endless Summer.
